MISSION STATEMENT

Keep Belmont Beautiful, as an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, working in partnership with the City of Belmont, North Carolina, educates and involves the community in litter and waste reduction, recycling beautification and natural resource conservation.

OUR GOAL

Keep Belmont Beautiful determined that a long-range solution to litter reduction and recycling is educating the City's young people, general citizenry and community leaders.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Keep Belmont Beautiful implemented a city wide litter prevention and recycling program through example and volunteer actions of local citizens.
      HISTORY 

Founded in 1953 Keep America Beautiful, Inc. is a national, non-profit public education
organization dedicated to protecting the natural beauty of our land and improving waste handling            
and management practices in American communities. Keep America Beautiful educates millions
of Americans on all aspects of waste handling practices and works with governments in
making laws to enforce abolition of litter.

Keep American Beautiful has 500 plus local affiliates nationwide. These affiliates are trained                    
and certified by KAB, and are constantly applying the system's five step approach:

4. FOCUS ON RESULTS
